Borrowed Righteousness

December mornings are one of my favorite things. I slip downstairs while it’s still quiet, turn on the white tree lights (our tree has the option of white and colored lights, so all of our family members are happy!), make a cup of coffee, and sneak in a few minutes reading the Word as I sit in a chair by the tree.

I’m reading Proverbs. As I get into chapters ten and eleven, Solomon keeps referring to “the righteous.”

Simple Bible Study with Kids

The pace of life is a bit different this fall, but we can still help our children grow their faith! Even though some of our options for church youth groups and Sunday School aren’t the same as usual, this is something we can do. Home Church: Life is Out of Order with Lazarus

Here’s an easy, no-prep Home Church idea for you! All you need is a roll of toilet paper. No worry – you can save it afterwards and use later!

For these Sundays leading up to Easter, each member of our family is taking a turn leading Home Church. We’re choosing passages from the gospels to help us focus on Jesus’ life and knowing him. This is comforting and encourages our faith through this stressful time, and prepares our hearts for Easter.
