Snapshots of living a life of love!

In case you don’t know about it, I want to invite you to check out my “micro-blog” posts on Instagram and Facebook. These posts are snapshots of living a life of love in everyday, authentic life! With these photos, I share encouragement to live and love well as we grow our relationship with God – and out of that we live the full live and love people.

Hospital Care Package

This post is in honor of one of my nephews who turns 7 today!  He is a smart, funny, energetic boy, and also a miracle!

He was diagnosed with infantile leukemia before he was one, and spent most of the next year in the hospital – while his parents juggled how to be there with him, and also care for his two older brothers.  They celebrated half-birthdays and didn’t take a day for granted.  What an amazing couple!

He now lives the life of a normal school-age kid!  I want to remember this answered prayer and give thanks.  Today is a gift from God to celebrate!20140501_165633

Learning and Growing Together {Home, Part 7}

{Home is the starting place for lived-out-love, a place where the needs of the whole person are cared for.  This post explores encouraging personal growth.}

This is the final post in this series! This week we’ll consider how we care for each others’ need to learn and grow as individuals, which includes encouraging and celebrating each other!

Throughout this series of posts, we’ve explored the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of home. We also considered how we extend love to others beyond our home.  Home looks different throughout the seasons of life; yet we all need these aspects of home and can build them in intentional and creative ways!  I began this series with this verse:

“The wisest of women builds her house …”  ~Proverbs 14:1

Engaged in Community

All of a sudden our grass has turned green again!  For weeks it looked sickly, like maybe there were pests or the watering wasn’t quite right, or was it was just the hot hot southern Utah summer?  I couldn’t quite make anything work.  Then I fertilized, and that seemed to take care of it.  I just mowed four days ago, and as you can see, it’s already out of control!
