Yesterday, I was at Target and I took a short-cut through the women’s pajama section.  I casually overheard a nice looking senior gentleman ask an associate if this was all of the women’s pajamas. I didn’t think much of the question, but her response caught my attention.  He asked a simple question, and she responded, “Yes, this is it…you’re on your own.”  He obviously was out of place in this area of the store!IMG_20180319_094725260

Bring Neighbors Together

What’s your style?  Are you a spur-of-the-moment kind of person or a planner?  Either way, you can gift your neighbors with the opportunity to get together and meet each other!  Promoting a neighborhood get together encourages familiarity, which creates a sense of community and trust.  And you never know what friendships might form from a simple interaction!

Neighboring

With spring coming, it’s a terrific time of year to connect with neighbors!  As it warms up, we’re all outside more.  It’s a good time for meeting new neighbors and reconnecting  with those we haven’t seen in a while.  It’s so easy to come and go and never meet our neighbors, as we drive into our garage and close its door.  Even if no one else is doing it, we can be the ones who take the first step to build relationships in our neighborhoods!

Love Listens

Listening and asking questions are terrific ways to show love in everyday life!    Listening is such a gift, but it is often hard to give others.  It goes against our self-contentedness and desire to get things done.  Listening requires intentionality and practice; it takes a little effort to mentally and relationally connect with another person!  For more ideas on asking questions, take a peek at last week’s post .
