While one scarf can be pretty and warm, we aren’t meant to wrap ourselves in a bunch of them! If we try this, we’ll find that it quickly becomes difficult to keep them on, much less move in them.
In my last post, we talked about how we tend to wrap ourselves in relationships, abilities, position, and possessions to know who we are and be known by other people.

We wrap ourselves in many things to be known by other people.
Imagine that you watch me pick up a maroon scarf, and drape it around my neck. Let’s say it represents my relationships with people (such as sister, wife, and friend).
There are times in life when we need to consider all there is to do, be thoughtful about priorities, and be open to making adjustments.
This is one of those times for me! We are in the process of moving to Oregon, back to a town that is right between the places where my husband and I grew up. It has been exciting, but brings a lot of extra work and interrupts our normal rhythms of life. (This is something that is hard for my Strengths Theme of Discipline, I might add!)

These cookie cutters were designed to fit neatly into a little round tin (see a picture of this in my previous post). Together they provide variety and are well-rounded.
